Kristen Bell leaves heartwarming voicemail as ‘Frozen’ princess for a young fan with a brain tumour

Actress Kristen Bell has made a young fan’s dream come true.

Avery Hoffman, 6, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour was all smiles when she received a voicemail from none other than Princess Anna, a character that Bell had voiced in the Disney film ‘Frozen.’

“Hi Avery! This is Princess Anna of Arendelle,” Bell says in the voice of the Disney princess. Immediately following the greeting, the six-year-old’s face perks up in what seems like disbelief and wonderment.

“I just wanted to call and say hello…” Bell continues. “So, hello!”

“Hello!” Avery adorably replies.

After a few more seconds of chit-chat, “Anna” shifts her attention to her sister Queen Elsa, who’s unfortunately out of hearing range, but has some very exciting news.

“What’s that, Elsa?” she asks. “Wow, okay! I’ll tell her!”

Shifting her focus back to Avery, Bell says, “My sister Elsa says she’s heard that you’ve been such a good girl and that you’ve been so brave, she has decided to crown you as an honourary princess of Arendelle!”

And, through a series of subtle nuances and mannerisms, Avery beams at the announcement.

A video of her reaction has since been uploaded to YouTube, and currently has 1.9 million views, with most of the comments commending Bell for taking the time to make the girl’s day.

And over at caringbridge.org, Avery’s dad, Brandon Huffman, has created a blog to follow her journey.

“Avery knows that things are still not normal for her physically,” he writes, “but she knows more than anything, she’s got tens, hundreds, thousands (and if the YouTube video is an indicator), even millions of people rooting for her and pulling for her.”

And every single day the brave six-year-old tells him, “Everyone wants me to feel better.”

And she’s right – we do.
