Lucky grandmother rescued after hanging 35 feet in the air
Angela Artyomova is one very lucky (and strong) woman.
The 97-year-old Ukrainian grandmother slipped when she was cleaning her fourth-floor windows and ended up hanging 35 feet above street level, clinging to an air-conditioning unit.
People passing by heard her cries for help and called the fire department. The "spritely pensioner" was still hanging on, her foot strategically wedged in the air-conditioning unit's bracket, when emergency crews arrived almost 30 minutes after she first fell.
With no time to set up in air cushion, firefighters used a ladder to reach the woman.
Watch the incredible rescue below.
Artyomova was taken to the hospital where she was treated for shock.
