Lucky South Carolina man wins lottery twice in four months

Some people play the lottery every so often, while it's a weekly habit for others. But a look at the numbers shows that some lottery retailers and players seem to be luckier than others.

Last week, a man from Rock Hill, South Carolina bought a $200,000 winning ticket in the Color of Money scratch-off game.

This is the second time in four months the same man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has won the same amount playing the same lotto game.

Last September, the man bought his first $200,000 winning Color of Money ticket.

"He just came in and said, 'I just won $200,000.' He wasn't jumping up and down. I would have been jumping up and down screaming," Stephanie Korn is a cashier at Elliot's Exxon, where the man bought his latest winning ticket, told WCNC.

"This is so weird," the winner said.

"This is crazy," his wife said. "He's in shock."

The Associated Press reported that the man planned to use the money from the first win to pay for his kids' education. The second jackpot will contribute to his retirement.

Lottery officials said the man has now won two of the top six prizes offered in the Color of Money game. Instead of trying for a third lucky win, the man said he won't be playing the game again.

"I'm done playing," he said of his recent lucky streak.

"He just has a good energy around him," his wife told WRHI. "He's always been lucky, because he married me."
