Katie Francis is a businesses woman to watch.

The 12-year-old Oklahoma Girl Scout sold a whopping 18,107 boxes of cookies this winter.

And, yes, Thin Mints were the top sellers.

But Katie's not done. She hopes to sell a total of 20,000 boxes by the end of March.

Katie's sales have already surpassed the national record, which was held by Elizabeth Brinton, who sold about 18,000 boxes one year in the '80s.

Jaimie Siegal, director of marketing and communications at Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, told ABC News that the organization won't comment on Katie's sales until the selling period ends on March 30.

Katie's mother, DeLee Francis, told USA Today that the Grade 6 student hopes to sell 100,000 boxes during her entire Girl Scout career.

"She's such a go-getter. She works countless hours," DeLee said.

Katie sold 12,428 boxes last year, beating the state record for the second year in a row.

Since cookie-selling season began for the Girl Scouts this winter, the self-described "Girl Scout Cookie Entrepreneur" has been selling cookies every evening after school and for 12 to 13 hours every weekend. The young saleswoman says the venture has taught her money-management and business skills.

"There are three ingredients to the cookie sale," Katie told local TV station KOCO. "It takes lots of time, commitment and asking everybody I see."

"Cookie selling is a lot of fun and I really enjoy doing it," Katie told USA Today. "I felt really happy that I could do anything because I accomplished such a huge goal."

Katie's troop will be donating to breast cancer research with its share of the proceeds from the fundraiser.
