On Sunday afternoon, on a Southwest Airlines flight leaving Nashville for Dallas Love Field, a 4-year-old flower girl walked down the aisle, passing out peanuts to passengers.

Moments later, a bride danced her way to the front of the 737 to meet her groom.

Dottie Coven, 44, and Keith Stewart, 38, were getting married at 32,000 feet in the air, somewhere over Arkansas.

"We are gathered here today — whether you intended to or not — to celebrate the wedding of Dottie Coven and Keith Stewart," said the officiant.

"If anyone can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together let them push their flight attendant call button now," the officiant added.

The Indiana couple read their vows from their smartphones while passengers took out their phones to capture the surprise ceremony.

Both Coven and Stewart have jobs that involve plenty of travel. When it came time to plan their wedding, a plane became an obvious venue choice. They even had enough Rapid Rewards points to purchase 30 tickets so that family and friends could witness their sky-high nuptials.

"Dottie and Keith wrote a letter to Southwest saying, ‘Hey, we want to do our wedding, we want to do it non-traditional…can we get married on an aircraft?’” Ana Schwager, the Southwest community affairs and grassroots manager, told WFAA-TV. “So, of course, we loved that idea and knew that we had the perfect flight to Dallas Love Field.”

“It’s nonstop love,” Stewart told WFAA. “That’s what it’s all about.”

Southwest encouraged passengers to tweet about the wedding using the hashtag #nonstoplove.

For choosing Southwest as their ceremony venue, the airline sent the couple on a honeymoon to one of its most recent destinations: Puerto Rico.
