Who needs to pay for engagement photos when police helicopters can do the job?

A Metropolitan Police Service helicopter was looking for a stolen car on Saturday evening when it spotted a sweet marriage proposal taking place in a north-west London park.

Thermal-imaging cameras caught the groom-to-be getting down on one knee in Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill.

Officers tweeted two photos of the happy couple — and what appeared to be a giant message spelled out in candles: "Will you marry me?"

Metropolitan police asked for help in identifying the newly engaged pair, hoping to give them the bird's-eye photos of the proposal.

The images went viral, and, yes, the couple was tracked down.

While the lovebirds chose to remain anonymous, they did confirm that "she said yes" — and even offered some photographic proof.
