Primrose the donkey walks for the first time in pink casts

Primrose the donkey was born prematurely. The bones in her front legs were not fully developed, leaving her unable to stand or walk.

Thanks to local vets at the Bind Equine Veterinary Practice in Shropshire, England and custom pink casts, the 3-week-old foal can now walk on her own.

Watch the "wonky donkey" show off her pink casts below:

"She belongs to a local family who keep donkeys and they called us to say there was a problem," veterinary staff worker Kate Maxwell told the Daily Mail.

"We hope that in ten days time the casts can come off and she will have made a full recovery. She's perfectly happy now, she can run around and jump," she said, adding that the staff have seen a great improvement in the donkey's condition.

"She's very sociable. There aren't any donkeys here but she's showing off her lovely pink casts to the other horses. She's proved very popular with visitors and she poses for pictures," Maxwell said.
