These newlyweds won't have any trouble keeping the spark alive.

When two chemists decided to tie the knot, they did so in a chemistry-themed wedding, complete with a symbolic "unity reaction" during the ceremony.

"We poured a 0.1 M solution of Sodium Hydroxide into a large beaker of water doped with phenolphthalein, an indicator that goes from clear and colorless in acidic pH to bright magenta when the pH goes above 7!" the bride, imgur user cherbearblue, wrote.

Cherbearblue shared photos of her one-of-a-kind wedding officiated by a "Master of Chemical Ceremonies."

Reception decor included chemistry glassware as centrepieces, with beakers used as candleholders.

The couple's dedication to their science theme was applauded online:

"That is the coolest wedding I have ever seen," imgur user mallic wrote.

"Congratulations! And way to make the ceremony completely unique to you!" wrote Someone2442.

"This took nerd to a totally different level that it probably needed to go at some point in time," wrote TizzyTheFlame.

The bride recently got a stick-figure tattoo to commemorate the unity reaction.
