Taylor Swift donates $50,000 to a young fan battling leukemia

If you’ve ever had any doubts that Taylor Swift is indeed ‘Sweeter than Fiction,’ she’s here to prove you wrong.

The ‘1989’ singer just donated a whopping amount of $50,000 to a young Arizona fan to help pay medical expenses as she battles leukemia.

After learning she would need to stay in the hospital for six months and miss Swift’s concert, 11-year-old Naomi Oakes’ dad made a video of her singing her newest hit “Bad Blood” and asked fellow Swifties to help move the message forward in hopes of grabbing the popstar’s attention, The Sky Post reports.

The young patient had hopes that Swift might share a #TeamNaomi photo on Instagram, but in typical Swift fashion, the 25-year-old took it a step further.

The seven-time Grammy award winner took to the family’s GoFundMe page and sent Naomi three $15,000 donations and one worth $5,000, equalling a crazy $50,000.

“To the beautiful and brave Naomi,” Swift wrote on the campaign page. “I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts.”

“Let’s focus on getting you better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”

After the donation was made, the family posted a video to YouTube of Naomi reacting to the generous offer.

The singer, who’s been known to have a deep relationship with her fans, told the Telegraph back in May that her fans “are cool and smart and hilarious and focused on the right things.”

“I want to make the most of this cultural relevance or success or whatever you call it, because it’s not going to last. I have to be as good as a person [as I can] while my name still matters to them.”

Keep fighting the good fight, Taylor.
