Avril Lavigne: which look is better?

Avril Lavigne channeled "Black Swan" while hosting a Magic Convention after party in Las Vegas last night. Our resident punkster was decked out in a tulle tutu and ripped leggings, and she topped off the outfit with a hot pink double-wrapped belt and boots. If there was a battle of the ballerinas, it looks like Avril won.

It was quite the departure from her outfit at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month; there, her red-carpet look was a bit more subdued than last night's tortured ballerina ensemble. No glitz. No sass. Sure, she's older now, and likely more calm. Less black eyeliner, less posing like Gene Simmons with her tongue out.

Lavigne always sets herself up to be examined when it comes to her fashion sense. When she first hit the music scene back in her ""Sk8er Boi" days, she was often quoted as saying: "I created Punk for this day and age. Do you see Britney (Spears) walking around wearing ties and singing punk? Hell no. That's what I do." Then when she vamped it up for her 2008 Maxim cover, she said in the article "I'm older now and I'm really enjoying being a girl. I'm rock glam now."

Which do you like? Glam-rock Avril or her new grown-up look?
