Drake gets taken down a peg by billionaire T. Boone Pickens
Hey, rich people, take a lesson from Drake, and don't complain about your piles of money on Twitter. Because if you do, other rich people might mock you.
In a strange, unsolicited tweet Wednesday, Drake posted, "The first million is the hardest."
It took less than 24 hours for billionaire businessman T. Boone Pickens to catch wind of Drake's humble brag, and the financier was not about to let it go.
"The first billion is a helluva lot harder," Pickens replied to the "Make Me Proud" singer.
Well, that's awkward.
Pickens is a financier who chairs the hedge fund BP Capital Management. With a reported worth of $1.4 billion, he also happens to be the 328th-richest person in America and 879th in the world.
Though Drake just made a profit off two of his Miami condos, the 25-year-old Torontonian is nowhere near the same league as the 84-year-old magnate. Drake is reportedly worth "only" $11 million, the last time Forbes looked.
But we'll give him this: The rapper takes criticism well.
"@boonepickens just stunted on me heavy," Drake tweeted back at Pickens.
No doubt he'll thank the billionaire later.
