Is Jim Carrey crazy in love? Or just plain crazy?

Fans are scratching their heads after the 49-year-old funnyman posted a strange video declaring his love for 22-year-old "The Help" star Emma Stone, and no one's quite sure whether Carrey is being sincere or if it's all just a bizarre joke. Take a look and decide for yourselves:

"Emma, I think you're all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted," Carrey declares in the video, which he posted on his official website. "And, if I were a lot younger, I would marry you.

"We would have chubby little freckle-faced kids, we'd laugh all day long, go camping and play Yahtzee, tell ghost stories by the fire," Carrey continues, taking seventh-grade name-doodling to a whole new level.

As for sex? Carrey uses his signature facial movements to express his opinion on that.

The "Mr. Popper's Penguins" actor does admit, however, that he is a little past his prime for the red head. In Carrey's fantasy, he tells Stone, "every day, for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you.

"But I'm not. I'm 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little gray in my beard and it takes me a little bit longer to pee than it used to."

After nearly two minutes of this, Carrey signs off by mouthing the words "I love you" into the camera. Yes, really.

But while Carrey's plea may seem over-the-top and sincere, his rep assured E! Online that the video is, indeed, a joke. Phew! That's good news, as Stone is rumoured to be off the market: she's currently linked to her "Amazing Spider-Man" co-star, Andrew Garfield.

What do you think of Carrey's declaration of love - is it hilarious, or just a little too weird?
