Justin Bieber is only Bing.com’s ninth most searched person in Canada?!

Unsurprisingly, Justin Bieber was the most- earched person in the United States this year on Bing.com. That must mean he's, like, the super-duper-most-searched person in his home country, right?

As it turns out, not so much. In Canada, the teenage pop star came only in ninth place. Whaaaaat?

But before all you Beliebers start hyperventilating, let's take a moment to think about this. Bieber's ninth-place ranking doesn't necessarily mean people like him less. It could just mean that here in the Great White North, he simply wasn't as newsworthy as the eight celebrities who came before him. And that might not be a bad thing.

Kim Kardashian snagged the No. 1 spot, which isn't surprising given the year she's had. The reality TV star got engaged, tied the knot, and filed for divorce a mere 72 days after she walked down the aisle. The personal life of this celeb provided tons of tabloid fodder, which is probably why Canadians were searching for her this year.

But she's not alone in making poor choices. Lindsay Lohan ranked second on the list, as her ongoing legal battles seem endless at this point. Personal drama also nabbed Jennifer Lopez a spot above the Biebz. The performer called it quits with hubby Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage, which shocked fans -- many of whom likely searched for information about the split.

If given the opportunity, Jennifer Aniston would probably be happy to switch rankings with Bieber, as she seems tired of rumours swirling about her personal life. The actress came in fifth on the list, and seems to always be in the news thanks to her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt. It was rumoured Pitt cheated on the "Friends" star with his "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-star Angelina Jolie, and as the Jolie-Pitt family grows, so do the "lonely and desperate" Aniston rumours.

But it wasn't all bad on the romance front this year. Pippa Middleton ranked No. 4 on the search list, likely due to her star-making turn at the royal wedding. The younger sister of Kate, Pippa caught the public eye by wearing a simple white dress to the wedding, which complemented her toned figure and started a fascination with her bum. Actress Megan Fox also attracted attention with her good looks. The brunette babe stripped down to her underwear for an Armani campaign, which we're sure garnered many online searches in 2011. Bieber just can't compete with that!

And pop stars Britney Spears and Lady Gaga also landed on the list, in third and fifth place, respectively. Both appeared to be dedicated to their careers this year, releasing songs and music videos. Yes, Bieber's been doing the exact same thing (it's been nearly impossible to avoid all the hype over his "Under the Mistletoe" album), but Spears has been famous longer, while Gaga has mastered the ability to get her wacky antics into the press.

(Of course, all of that doesn't explain why Bieber still ranked No. 1 in the States, but hey, who can ever figure out what those zany Americans are thinking?)

So don't worry, Bieber. You may not have topped the Canadian list this year, but you also didn't divorce or get a jail sentence. Ranking No. 9 isn't so bad, especially since some of the top eight probably aren't thrilled with how they nabbed their ranking in the first place.
