University of Toronto students cover “Gangster’s Paradise” in exam prank

Imagine sitting in a first year university engineering exam and the stress level that would be radiating through your body as you look through the complicated test.

Then all of a sudden you hear the beginning of Coolio's 1995 hit "Gangster's Paradise," and you see your classmates jump up and begin to sing. The hit song was featured in the film "Dangerous Minds" starring actress Michelle Pfeiffer as a high school teacher in a tough neighbourhood.

University of Toronto musical and sketch comedy group Skule Nite 1T3 ambushed the students in a first year engineering exam in true flash mob style rapping over Coolio's track and replacing the original's lyrics with cautionary tales about life as a student in the engineering program.

The awesome clip titled "The Worst Test" features group members standing on desks and in the doorways of the lecture hall, rapping lyrics like:

"As I'm scrambling to finish up this joke of a test
I take a look at the clock and realize there's no time left
I know that all the answers I've written are wrong
My mind has given up and my focus is gone"

"I know I'm gonna fail and that I deserve it
I've forgotten all I know but that's not unheard of
I've got four minutes not, not gonna finish
Now all that's to do is sit here drawing a penis"

One of the best parts of the video is when the teaching staff breaks out three violins and begin to play around the 2:30 minute mark, letting the class know that they are in on the prank.

Since its posting on Sept. 15, the clip has gone viral with almost 3.2 million views and over 29,000 'Likes.'

Last year, the Skule Nite 1T2 group performed their own rendition of "One Day More" from "Les Miserables," calling it "One Test More," during the fall semester exam.
