Did you make it through the first season of "Big Brother Canada" without dying of shame? Do you relish the thought of spending 71 days sharing a house filled with cameras alongside a group of complete strangers while the rest of Canada watches? And, most importantly, do you know how to use a voting machine?
If your answer to any of these questions is "yes," then you either need to go see a shrink or get yourself in line to audition for season 2 of “Big Brother Canada.”
Producers have opened the floodgates for wannabe HouseGuests by officially announcing the auditions for the second season of the hit Slice reality show, which is set to air this winter. Those that make the grade will enter the "Big Brother Canada" House for the second season, and get the chance to follow in Jillian MacLaughlin’s footsteps by winning the show and the $100,000 prize that comes with it.
“With an astounding 10,000 Canadians having auditioned for season one of 'Big Brother Canada,' we know there is a huge desire from fans across the country to participate in this series,” said Barbara Williams, Senior Vice President of Content, Shaw Media, in a press release. “This season, we are once again offering hopefuls the chance to apply in person as well as online, ensuring that fans Canada wide have the opportunity to audition.”
Hopefuls over the age of 19 can apply online before Oct. 25 or visit one of the six live open casting calls that are being held in cities across Canada. Those cities include:
- Vancouver, B.C. - Sept. 8 at Metropolis, Metrotown
- Edmonton, Alta. - Sept. 14 at West Edmonton Mall
- Halifax, N.S. - Sept. 20 at Halifax Shopping Centre
- St. John's, Newf. - Sept. 21 at Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland
- Montreal, Que. - Sept. 27 at Le Centre Montreal Sheraton
- Toronto, Ont. - Oct. 19 at John Bassett Theatre
