‘Malcolm in the Middle’ cast reunites! Photos now and then

For the first time in six years, Malcolm is in the middle again.

The cast of "Malcolm In the Middle," including eponymous star Frankie Muniz, "Breaking Bad's" Bryan Cranston (who played Malcolm's dad Hal), his on-screen mom Jane Kaczmarek (aka Lois) and an unrecognizable Erik Per Sullivan (Malcolm's younger bro, Dewey) got back together on Saturday for the first time since the Fox comedy about a family of seven shuttered in May 2006.

"First time the whole Malcolm gang was together in over 6 years!" Muniz tweeted yesterday with a photo of the stars together again.

The 26-year-old actor, who played the genius son of the family from 2000 to 2006, claimed it was their "first reunion" suggesting it might become a regular thing.

"Had an amazing time seeing all my old friends from "Malcolm" today," Muniz tweeted on Saturday. "Realized how much i missed everyone!"

The Kingsfoil drummer posted two other photos with his "mom," Kaczmarek, and a third with oldest on-screen brother, Christopher Masterson (who played Francis), and Cranston, captioned, "He is the danger," in reference to his former dad's award-winning AMC show.

The group shot also included the twins who played the youngest member of the on-screen family, James and Lukas Rodriguez. Conspicuously absent from the family portrait was Justin Berfield, who played Malcolm's bullying older brother, Reese (no doubt he was a little busy -- since 2010, the 26-year-old actor has been Chief Creative Officer of a production company owned by Virgin, Virgin Produced).

But the biggest surprise was how much Malcolm's younger bro Dewey had changed, so much so that the actor who played him, Erik Per Sullivan, held up a photo of his younger self for the group shot. Sullivan has been largely focusing on his schooling since the show ended and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010. The 21-year-old actor's last role was that same year, a small part in "Twelve," starring Chace Crawford, about a bunch of wealthy Manhattan teens mixed up in drugs.
