Superhero-quality SUV, made in Toronto

Conquest Vehicles builds armoured cars designed to protect VIPs at a whopping cost of $629,000 each. Almost every part of these cars (there are only 17 in existence at the moment) is built from the ground up and offers a minimum of 15 different safety features you’re unlikely to find on the average person’s used four-door sedan.

It’s aptly named the Knight XV. The engine of this gas guzzling, ultra-protective vehicle is that of a Ford F-550 truck, and that’s probably the only normal, everyday aspect of this beast. The hood of the car reaches high enough to block the drivers field of vision, so the makers embedded two cameras in the front of the vehicle, one for broad daylight and the other for night vision, that can show you exactly how what’s happening in front of you when you’re busy steering clear of the bad guys.

This SUV is so fully loaded that even the engine grille is bulletproof, just in case a suspicious old lady carrying grocery bags on a Sunday afternoon all of a sudden turns on you and pulls out a gun. Once she runs out of ammo, trying to slash the Knight XV’s tires will prove futile, because a plastic shell on the inside of them will allow you to safely drive up to 130 kilometres away from your attacker before she can pinch your cheeks and nag you to death about the fact you don’t eat enough.

All kidding aside, this vehicle is fit for protecting the most important and the most paranoid people in the world. Conquest’s automobiles can tell you whether there is a GPS tracking device underneath your car, protect you from a small bomb, and turn away an onslaught of machine gun fire.

Aside from its incredible safety features, the Knight XV features its share of entertainment inside, the specifics of which depend on your tastes of course. If you want a fridge in the back to keep your beers cold you can have that. If you feel like playing some NHL 16 on PlayStation 4 you can have that too. Heck, for two thirds of a million dollars, you can virtually outfit the Knight XV with gadgets that would make Batman’s Batmobile look like a thoroughly rusted, beat up Oldsmobile.

This one-of-a-kind mix of luxury and top-notch safety features fit for any trouble that should come your way does leave one question mark unanswered however. What if the attacker just waits until you get out of the car? Perhaps Conquest Vehicles can throw in OnStar support at no additional cost.
