Demi Lovato appears to be giving her heart a break.
The "Skyscraper" singer announced she was taking a "Twitter break" Saturday night after writing that you "can't please everyone."
"It's for the best actually," Lovato tweeted. "Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!"
The 19-year-old pop star may have been in trouble for recently speculating on the dangers of working with celebrity photographer Tyler Shields, who has been criticized for his controversial photos of Lindsay Lohan and "Glee" star Heather Morris.
"Doing a crazy photoshoot with the infamous/brilliant @tylershields," Lovato wrote last Sunday. "Beyond excited. But um I hope I survive....... :P"
But considering Shields's enthusiastic back-and-forth with Lovato, it's more likely she quit Twitter after a cryptic message she wrote earlier this month on the social networking site that prompted speculation about her rumoured relationship with "That '70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama.
"The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man," Lovato tweeted Jan. 10 after quoting Marilyn Monroe ("A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left").
Though she never confirmed her relationship with Valderrama, the tweet was widely believed to be about the 31-year-old actor, with whom she was spotted making out in November. The same day as Lovato's tweet, Us Weekly reported that the pair was "no longer hooking up."
But two days later, Valderrama seemed to deny the story. "I'm amused with how elaborate speculation of someone's indirect statements are misinterpreted in today's thirst for unnecessary rumors," he tweeted, a week before the couple was reportedly seen flirting yet again at a Hollywood club Jan. 18.
Lovato's reps did not respond to omg! Canada's request for comment.
