Doggone Good News: Jeremy Renner Is Reunited With Missing Pooch!
In an ending that couldn't have been scripted better, Jeremy Renner has been reunited with his missing dog.
Over a month after the 42-year-old "The Bourne Legacy" star's adorable French bulldog Hemi went missing in Los Angeles, the pup has been found.
"This is the post we KNEW would happen, and that all of YOU believed in," says the update on the Facebook page for the missing animal. "The story is totally convoluted so we don't (and will never) know what actually happened, but he was with a family in Visalia, CA (200 miles away). Hemi's family has JUST picked him up!
"More to come later," it continued, "but for now, we can all rest knowing that HEMI IS BACK WHERE HE BELONGS! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIRELESS HELP, SUPPORT AND FAITH!"
The star's dog slipped out the front gate of his home near L.A.'s Runyon Canyon on July 19 after it opened during a power outage. The star launched a thorough search for Hemi, including a $5,000 reward.
The search was pressing because the animal was without its medication for a hip ailment.
This happy ending is especially sweet because Renner previously suffered some heartache over the loss of a pet. In March 2012, his other French bulldog Franklin died of a heart attack at a Little League game while in the care of a dogsitter.
