Kanye West isn't known for watching what he says (Taylor Swift will attest to that), but his long Twitter rant late last night was unprecedented, even for him.
In a two-hour Twitter-a-thon that ran the gamut from his new company DONDA to creating a school with Spike Jonze, the 34-year-old showed that he certainly isn't suffering from a crisis of self-confidence -- though he does still seem to feel the sting from his "MTV Moment," as he calls it.
But who wants to read all of that? To help you out, we trawled through every one of Kanye's tweets to boil it down to the most important points, including the reason he only designed one Louis Vuitton line and why he was kicked out of his fourth-grade class.
Behold, the some of the beautiful and strange Tweets and claims from Kanye last night:
He doesn't have an agent. "William Morris was fired after Cara lewis quit. I love Cara Lewis : )"
He has not bought a new car or piece of jewelry in two years. (Um, join the club?)
He just launched a new venture called DONDA, "a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas." All right, then.
He and indie filmmaker Spike Jonze "want to do a Summer school that tries new forms of cuuriculim." Apparently it involves using iPhones for tests.
He doesn't have any backing for his clothing line. He used the money he made touring to follow his "passion" and paid for his fashion show himself.
He has been working on a fashion line for eight years. He begged Bape to release it, but made no "real headway."
His L.A. office was shut down after the "MTV moment," as was his Gaga tour.
He moved to Japan after the incident on MTV and "designed every night in my room."
He moved to Rome after spending time in Japan and interned at Fendi for four months. "I was there to give ideas for the men's collection," he tweeted.
He had to turn down a job at Versace because of his two-year contract with Louis Vuitton.
He was never given a second chance to create for LV after his first collection.
He designed the YEEZY sneaker for Nike. "I'm 'allowed' to design 1 pair of sneakers every 2 years. I have more ideas..." he wrote.
His mom took him shopping for discount furs when he was 5. "She said I would always point to the most expensive furs even as a child LOL," he tweeted.
His teachers thought he couldn't focus. "I used to get kicked out of class for bringing dirty mags and drawing Nikeys in 4th grade," he tweeted.
Of course, recapping all of this thoughts doesn't quite do the entire rant justice, so if you want to get the full Kanye experience, head over to his Twitter page to read the whole thing.
