UPDATE: Jimmy Kimmel addressed his tiff with Kanye West during his monologue Thursday evening on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

As was referenced in the Twitter feud, Kanye did pick up the phone, call Jimmy, and offer him only one option in order to right his wrongs. "'Your life is going to be much better if you apologize,'" Jimmy claims Kanye said before comparing himself at length to "Pac," referring to Tupac Shakur.

"He told me on the phone — and I swear to god this is true — he said, 'I am the most powerful voice in media. I am 'Pac,'" Jimmy recalled. "He said, 'You'll never be able to show yourself at a 14-year-old’s high school football game and be cool again.' ... That’s right out of the Tupac playbook, isn’t it?"

Jimmy is still not totally sure why the rapper is so angry, but he couldn't have been more pleased about it. "Finally, I'm in a rap feud!" the comic cheered. "Right now we're at defKanye-five."

Kanye West isn't laughing.

The super-serious rapper went on an expletive-filled Twitter rant on Thursday against Jimmy Kimmel after the late-night talk show host parodied a recent interview that Kanye gave the BBC. The sketch depicted West, 36, as a little kid sipping on a milkshake as he gave the same ridiculous answers that the artist had given to the BBC's Zane Lowe.

Kanye, who's as well known for his bizarre quotes as he is for his rants, was not amused — to say the least.

Naturally, Kimmel came back with some hilarious retorts.
