Could another Kardashian relationship be on the rocks?
Chatter reached a fever pitch over the weekend that L.A. Clippers star Lamar Odom was fighting a drug addiction problem, which has left his wife Khloe Kardashian Odom worried for his life.
TMZ first reported on Friday that the couple's relationship was on the rocks, due to Lamar's hardcore drug problem, which their sources say has been ongoing for two years. Their sources add that Lamar went to rehab in San Diego for three weeks in 2012 and stayed sober through the end of the last NBA season, but then relapsed this summer when he wasn't still playing basketball.
On Sunday, TMZ reported that the Kardashian family tried to stage an intervention last Wednesday, but now Lamar has gone missing for the past 72 hours and the family is concerned that he's on a drug binge somewhere. They further reported that their sources say crack cocaine is Lamar's drug of choice.
On Sunday afternoon, Khloe tweeted angrily about the situation.
"Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk shit about my family! F--k you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this shit!" she wrote.
Omg! has reached out to reps for Lamar and Khloe but hasn't yet heard back from either party. Lamar is currently a free agent, so the L.A. Clippers wouldn't be able to speak on his behalf.
According to photo agency Splash News, Lamar was last seen on Wednesday at a supermarket parking lot in Calabasas, moving some golf clubs into his white Mercedes from another car before driving off.
A source tells People that Khloe has kept Lamar's drug problem a secret for two years, and is doing everything she can to try to save him. "It's absolutely heartbreaking for her," the source said. "This is such a heavy load." They point out that the couple hasn't been seen in public together since June 2.
A different source tells People that the problem is indeed causing a huge separation between the two of them. "Lamar genuinely doesn't think he has a problem – it's all 'work hard then party hard' with him until it goes off the rails. They really do love each other. But she really feels that this problem is out of control, and she's hurt that he won't get help."
Khloe and Lamar have been married since 2009 and he appears regularly on E!'s "Keep up with The Kardashians."
