Miley Cyrus unfollows fiancé Liam Hemsworth on Twitter

Miley Cyrus has fuelled rumours of a split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth by unfollowing the actor on Twitter.

It might sound trivial, but in a world where the 20-year-old twerker plays out every act of her life in 140 characters or less, the move to unfollow her beau is nothing short of a social snub. It's the microblogging equivalent of unfriending him on Facebook.

The discovery was made by fans, who, over the weekend, realized that Hemsworth’s name was conspicuous by its absence from the list of the 280 users that Miley follows. Hemsworth isn't exactly renowned for tweeting much, but he does still count Cyrus among the 17 people he tracks on the social networking site.

The couple became engaged in 2012 after originally meeting on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009. However, their relationship has been rocked by controversy and plagued by split rumours ever since.

They were last spotted together at the premiere of Hemsworth’s movie “Paranoia” in Los Angeles in August. The “Wrecking Ball” singer was once again a noticeable absentee on the red carpet last week, when Hemsworth stopped by the Toronto International Film Festival to support his brother Chris who was in town to promote his new movie “Rush.”
