Neil Patrick Harris tackled by ‘Price Is Right’ contestant
Take note, Neil Patrick Harris: Never underestimate the enthusiasm of a "Price Is Right" fan. The "How I Met Your Mother" star appeared on "The Price Is Right" Wednesday only to find himself being tackled by a rabid winner.
After hearing she won, the woman proceeded to scream and jump up and down before slamming into host Drew Carey, who quipped, "The future Mrs. Carey right here."
Carey pried himself away from the vixen and told her to say hello to Harris, who was on the show to raise money for cancer research. He approached her gingerly, slowly inching up the stage steps, his hand out. But she proceeded to envelop him in a bear hug and he jokingly fell to the ground as she kicked her legs up and down on top of him.
"Are you OK?" she asked.
"Yeah, I'm great," a red-faced Harris said as the woman smoothed down his suit.
Harris tweeted gleefully about the incident Tuesday.
"Game show fans: please watch The Price Is Right tomorrow," he wrote. "I get to play. And spin the wheel. And I may get tackled. Good times."
Good times, indeed! In November, Harris admitted that he has "great fun" flirting with women despite being engaged to David Burtka, with whom he also has twins.
"There's lots of girls that I talk to that know that I'm gay and still are flirty," Harris told MoviesOnline. "I flirt right back."
