Playboy model Carmen Electra wasn't always a fan of the camera. Back in the '80s, she refused to even smile for a snap.

"Throwing shade at the early age of 11," the buxom beauty tweeted yesterday as part of throwback Thursday. The shot showed a young Electra, staring at the camera with pursed lips, her long brown hair recognizable even at that age.

At the time, the "Scary Movie" star was better known as Tara Leigh Patrick. Living in Ohio with her singer mom and guitarist dad, she went on to study dance in Cincinnati before starting her career as a dancer at an Ohio amusement park in 1990.

A year later, she moved to California, met Prince and embarked on a brief singing career. She reportedly adopted the stage name Carmen Electra around that time.

The 41-year-old celeb is now famous for appearing in Playboy throughout the '90s and '00s and for starring on "Baywatch" as Lani McKenzie from 1997 to 1998. She is also known for her high profile romances.

In 1998, she married basketball star Dennis Rodman, but divorced him only a year later. She then tied the knot with Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro in 2003, with whom she starred in the reality show "'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave." Though that title turned out to be a misnomer, because they divorced four years later.

Though she got engaged once again in 2008 to rocker Rob Patterson, Electra is now dating Simon Cowell. Yep, that Simon Cowell.
