Who Went Nude for Allure’s ‘Naked Truth’ Issue?

The Juice

Another year, another one of Allure magazine's "Naked Truth" issues. Translation? A gaggle of female celebs strip down before stepping in front of the camera with strategically placed arms and legs, making the pics just revealing enough to be considered risqué, but not quite Playboy worthy.

Last year, Debra Messing and Maria Menounos were among the ladies who were shot in the buff. This time around, the issue features a quartet of TV stars: Naya Rivera of “Glee,” "Cougar Town's" Christa Miller, "Nashville" actress Clare Bowen, and "Once Upon a Time" star Jennifer Morrison.

Apparently having the public check out her, er, assets, isn’t that new of a concept for the 26-year-old Rivera, who previously worked as a waitress at Hooters. "I have nightmares about that job, period. When I was working there, I was really skinny -- a lot skinnier than I am now. But I was always self-conscious."

And no, she wasn’t nervous about the shoot. "I'm excited to see it -- and it's going to be available to the world," she insists.

As for Christa Miller, who's more than two decades older than Rivera (but looked just as good naked!), well she did have some pre-shoot jitters. "I started getting nervous this morning. When I was driving here, I said to my husband ['Cougar Town' producer Bill Lawrence], 'Wait, what am I doing? I'm going to be naked for Allure. Maybe I should turn around.' He was like, 'You look great, and you've been Spinning like a crazy person. Go.'"

But Bill shouldn't expect his wife to start walking around the house in the buff after this. "If I did, my husband would make me have sex 40 times a day. That's a true story."

One actress who didn’t go naked for the issue (despite the fact she was the cover girl) was Amanda Seyfried … though she claims it wasn't her decision.

Amanda Seyfried: Her Style Timeline

At a dinner honoring Linda Wells, Allure's editor-in-chief, Wells announced that the 27-year-old former "Big Love" star was the only famous female featured who kept her clothes on, to which Seyfried responded, according to New York Post’s Page Six , "I would have, but my publicist wouldn't let me!"But Seyfried is by no means modest, and, in fact, spends much of the upcoming porn star biopic "Lovelace" completely nude.

"Maybe this is backwards, but because she found the power in herself and in her body at a point, it made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn't been," she tells Allure.

And despite the fact it's an issue full of nude women, perhaps the most risqué element is the advice Seyfried’s vocal coach gave her for her role in "Les Miserable," which she shared with the mag.

"'Imagine deep-throating a penis, get that feeling in the back of your throat, and then sing. That's where your larynx is.'"

Well, OK, we’ll, uh, keep that in mind.

The May issue of Allure goes on sale on April 22.
