Blue Ivy Is a Mini Beyoncé on a Father-Daughter Date with Jay-Z
Blue Ivy Carter and dad Jay-Z are enjoying some quality father-daughter time.
The duo was spotted sitting court side NBA Finals match between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Though Beyoncé wasn't in attendance, Blue seemed to channel her mom's glamorous style with her own outfit. The 10-year-old wore a black leather jacket over a black T-shirt, which was printed with the words, "Brown Skin Girl," a nod to her Grammy-winning song with Bey. She finished her outfit off with black trousers, hoop earrings, and black-and-white Nike sneakers.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z looked cool and casual in a matching all-black fit consisting of a black T-shirt, black joggers, and white sneakers.
Jay-Z acted like a proud dad while watching the game with Blue. "Throughout the game Jay had his arm around her shoulder and was pointing out different things on the court to her," a source told E! News. "He was so proud of her. He gave her a big dad kiss on the cheek."
The onlooker added that Blue "got a little embarrassed when she was shown on the Jumbotron," though it was still a "cute" moment.
Beyoncé previously opened up about passing on self-care rituals to her children—Blue as well as twins Rumi and Sir Carter—for Harper's BAZAAR's September 2021 cover story.
"One of my most satisfying moments as a mom is when I found Blue one day soaking in the bath with her eyes closed, using blends I created and taking time for herself to decompress and be at peace," she said. "I have so much to share…and there’s more to come soon!"
