Blue Springs man accused of secretly filming nude juveniles in his care, records show
A Blue Springs man was arrested this week after an 18-year-old said that he sexually assaulted her repeatedly over the course of the year she has been in his care.
While investigating the accusation, police found that Jeffri A. McIntosh, 31, had secretly filmed several juveniles in the nude with a hidden camera in a bathroom at his home. The juveniles had previously been under his care..
McIntosh has been charged with felony invasion of privacy.
The 18-year-old victim was in McIntosh’s care from September 2023 until his arrest Tuesday. Blue Springs police officers responded to McIntosh’s home on reports of an unrelated assault, according to documents filed in Jackson County court.
The victim disclosed the sexual assaults to the officers after they arrived.
The victim alleged McIntosh raped her nine or 10 times between October 2023 and January, according to court documents. She also alleged that McIntosh took photos of her sleeping while partially clothed.
While preparing charges against McIntosh, Blue Springs police officers reviewed messages on the victim’s cellphones describing the alleged rapes, as well as footage from cameras McIntosh had installed inside his home. Officers also seized McIntosh’s phone, which contained five pornographic videos showing girls between the ages of 11 to 17 disrobing in McIntosh’s bathroom.
McIntosh’s phone contained 6,238 still images from the hidden camera showing minors in states of nudity or partial nudity, according to court documents. Three of the victims in these images — two 14-year-olds and one 15-year-old — were also previously in McIntosh’s care.
McIntosh was released from police custody after posting his $20,000 bond. He has been instructed not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18 or anyone that was previously in his care.
