Boa Constrictor, Believed to Be a Neighborhood Pet Snake, Found Slithering Around Street in Kentucky

A yellow boa constrictor was spotted roaming around a Kentucky neighborhood earlier this week, according to UPI.
Per the outlet, the reptile is believed to have been an escaped pet.
A woman claimed in a Facebook post, shared by Kentucky authorities, that she thought the animal was what she called her "escape artist."
The snake was taken to the McCracken County Humane Society, where "an experienced snake handler" is looking after it, UPI reported.

In a post on Facebook, a local resident documented the snake on the loose.
"Somebody snake done got out the MF HOUSE," he captioned a photo of the animal lying in the grass. "HELLLLLL NAHHHH THIS IS NOT A JOKE THIS MF IS ON NORTH 11th right now."
In a follow-up post, the same man shared images of the reptile being captured. "Got that MF," he wrote in his caption.
According to UPI, Paducah City Police Department officers responded to capture the snake, along with Director of Animal Control James Holler.
"This guy was in somebody's yard, just cruising along the side of the house," Holler told WPSD-TV. "Snakes don't bother me at all. [I] deal with a lot of wild snakes."
