Boat with 18 Chinese, Ecuadorian migrants arrives in Pompano Beach, Border Patrol says

The U.S. Border Patrol says this Sea Ray cabin cruiser brought 18 migrants to Pompano Beach Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024.

A group of 18 migrants from two countries arrived Tuesday morning in Pompano Beach in a cabin cruiser boat, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

The group included five people from China and 13 people from Ecuador, Jeffrey Dinise, chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s Miami sector, said in a statement on X, formerly Twitter.

It’s not clear if there were any arrests. Dinise said the landing is under investigation.
