Body found after man went missing, died in Macon. Suspect arrested, deputies say

One person has been arrested after the body of a person who went missing in Macon was found in Jonesboro, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators got a 911 call about a missing person around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Macon. The missing person’s vehicle was found near train tracks on Broadway Friday, but nobody was inside, deputies said.

The Jonesboro Police Department told investigators they “located the body of the victim at a local gas station in Jonesboro” Friday, a news release from the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said the death occurred at the intersection of Vineville Avenue and Stonewall Place in Macon.

The victim was identified as Viet Vo, the release said.

Twenty-five-year-old Jamarion Neville was taken into custody Friday after Vo’s death, deputies said. It’s unclear what he was charged with.
