Here’s What a Body Language Expert Had to Say About Kate Middleton at the BAFTAs

Kate Middleton is coming into her own (even more!) and we absolutely love that for her.

This past weekend, Princess Catherine and Prince William showed up and showed out on the 2023 BAFTAs red carpet. The Princess of Wales completely wowed us with her classic re-wear (with only a small alteration), rocking a white asymmetrical Alexander McQueen gown, a pair of black opera gloves designed by Cornelia James and beautiful gold drop earrings from Zara.

After analyzing photos of their latest red carpet appearance, body language expert Darren Stanton had some interesting insights about Princess Catherine’s behavior and overall demeanor at the awards ceremony in London.

Stanton shared that Princess Catherine carried herself “completely differently” from when the couple made their BAFTAs red carpet debut back in February 2017. “[Kate] did not appear as confident with herself and seemed more nervous, which translated into her wardrobe,” he told PureWow (on behalf of Betfair Bingo).

Stanton continued, “Nowadays, Kate isn’t afraid to wear something slightly bolder and carries herself completely differently. She now moves from person to person with elegance, integrity and truthfulness. Her body language is completely congruent with the confident person she has become.”

“Kate has adopted a far greater level of self-assurance,” Stanton explained. “At the recent BAFTAs, Kate was often seen walking alone without her husband William, with confidence and ease. She has very much grown and developed into her own person and a significant member of the royal family, therefore taking her worlds away from her previous appearance.”

Catherine continues to shine with each appearance she makes.
