Body of missing fisherman found in Hawco's Pond
The body of a missing fisherman has been located following an extensive search in the Deer Park area.
RCMP said the remains were identified late Saturday afternoon in Hawco's Pond, near the Salmonier Line.
The deceased, 57, failed to return home on Wednesday evening after leaving to go ice fishing on the pond.
At the request of the family, the man's name will not be released.
The search was a coordinated effort involving the RCMP, the Rovers, several ground search and rescue teams, the Fire and Emergency Services air unit and Cougar Helicopters.
