Officials had been searching the lake since Sunday night. Dellinger was one of two people whose boat was carried away by wind after going swimming, DNR said in a statement Monday. One of the people who has not been identified was rescued by another boat, DNR said.
The lake is part of the border between York County and North Carolina. Teams from DNR, the York County Sheriff’s Office, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and fire, and other groups were involved in the search.
