Grenade scare over as Toronto police deem device a replica

Toronto police said the grenade discovered in a Jarvis Street building was actually a replica, and that it has now been disposed of.

Police closed several streets near Jarvis while the bomb squad was called in to dispose of the fake grenade.

Police said around 9:30 a.m. a contractor working at 571 Jarvis Street found the device behind a radiator.

Roads are set to reopen shortly.
