Rudy Giuliani Claims ‘Borat’ Sequel Was A “Hit Job” For Claims He’s Made Against Joe Biden

UPDATED with Giuliani reaction: Rudy Giuliani claims that the makers of the sequel to Borat were engaged in a “hit job” as he makes claims about Hunter Biden.

“Now the idiot Borat is going after me with a totally sensationalized, false account of a ridiculous movie I guess that he has done,” Giuliani said on WABC radio on Wednesday. “Now let me tell you why I know this is a hit job that happens because…it is not an accident that it happens when I turn in all this evidence on their prince and darling Joe Biden who is one of the biggest crooks of the last 30 years.”

The scene in Borat: Subsequent Movieflim, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, was shot in July, while Giuliani has emerged with his latest claims against Hunter Biden over the past week. The claims center on the contents of a laptop that Giuliani says belonged to Joe Biden’s son.

The scene features Giuliani in an interview with Borat’s young daughter, Tutur, who is posing as a reporter. After they chat for a bit, she invites him for a drink in her hotel bedroom. As he sits down on the bed, he says, “You can give me your phone number and your address,” while patting her on the back. She then tries removing his microphone, before he leans back flat on the bed and appears to be putting his hand down his pants.

Giuliani also said he doesn’t “know if it [the footage] was added, doctored manipulated or whatever.”

He also claimed that in the scene, he was tucking his shirt in after taking off electronic equipment. “I was tucking my shirt in. I assure you that is all I was doing.”

“I get up and she says about, do I want a massage? I realize then that this is a setup.”

He said that he called his security guy Brian and “all of the sudden crazy Sasha Baron Cohen comes in with a cape on and he’s saying all kinds of stupid stuff, and I very calmly say, ‘Brian, call the police.'”

He also claimed that the movie was shown to “all sorts of people in Hollywood back in July and August. Everybody in Hollywood hates me. I am a devil in Hollywood. Nothing about me comes out during that period of time. Nothing sensational about me and the movie.”

Later, Giuliani tweeted, “(1) The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.

“(2) In fact, the NY Post today reports “it looks to me like an exaggeration through editing.” As soon as I realized it was a set up I called the police, which has been noted in THR article on July 8th.

“(3) This is an effort to blunt my relentless exposure of the criminality and depravity of Joe Biden and his entire family. Deadline Hollywood reports CAA had a distribution screening in September where there was no mention of the scene holding any importance.

“(4) We are preparing much bigger dumps off of the hard drive from hell, of which Joe Biden will be unable to defend or hide from. I have the receipts.”

PREVIOUSLY, 1:26 PM PT: Minutes after the embargo lifted on the Borat sequel reviews, revealing the details of an embarrassing scene featuring President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, a White House spokesman was asked to weigh in.

“I have not seen it, so we’ll have to get back to you on that,” said spokesman Brett Morgenstern, while calling Giuliani a “patriot” and “zealous representative” of the president. Giuliani in the past week has been trying to advance claims about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

It’s then that Borat, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, bursts into the room, dressed in lingerie, shouts at the former New York mayor, “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.”

“Why are you dressed like this?” Giuliani says.

Neither Giuliani nor a spokeswoman responded to requests for comment.

At the time that the scene was shot in July, Giuliani told the New York Post that he called the police over the prank. “This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or shakedown, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away.” His spokesperson wrote on Twitter that he “foiled Sacha Cohen’s attempted scam interview, ultimately ending in a stupefied Cohen.” No mention at the time was made of the scene in the hotel bedroom.

The embargo on the Borat sequel reviews lifted at noon ET on Wednesday. On Tuesday night, Giuliani appeared on Newsmax TV to say that he met with Delaware State Police about Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive and its contents, but authorities are said to be investigating the veracity of the claims. The timing of Giuliani’s claims, just two weeks before the election, has triggered suspicion among mainstream media outlets, many of which have played down the Hunter Biden stories since they surfaced last week in the Post. They have questions of the origin of the laptop, which Giuliani claims was dropped off at a Delaware repair shop.

Andrew Bates, rapid response director for the Biden campaign, reacted to the Borat scene on Twitter. He wrote, “Voltaire: ‘Oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.'”

The Borat sequel will debut on Amazon Prime on Friday. The official title is Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
