Bruins' Matt Grzelcyk puts Devils' P.K. Subban in blender
If it wasn’t for the wizardry of Sonny Milano, Andrei Svechnikov and Matthew Tkachuk, Boston Bruins defenceman Matt Grzelcyk (of all people) would probably find himself in the early ‘Goal of the Year’ conversation.
After Grzelcyk opened the scoring against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center on Tuesday night, his Bruins were up 3-1 in the middle of the third period when he collected a puck in the neutral zone. Then with P.K. Subban — a Norris Trophy winner — standing between himself and Devils netminder Mackenzie Blackwood, Grzelcyk pulled off a sensational move.

Based on a reaction that included his arms flying into the air, Grzelcyk’s toe drag left Subban in utter disbelief.
And, honestly, nobody can blame him. Grzelcyk finished the play with a gorgeous shot into the top corner over Blackwood’s glove for a memorable second goal of the game - and season.
It takes some serious confidence to pull off something like that.
Boston went on to win the game 5-1 to improve to 5-2-3 in their last 10 contests.
