Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall's facial hair has progressed from somewhat wispy after four weeks of participation in Movember, a campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

Wall pledged to grow a moustache if he received substantial support on his donation page for the national Movember campaign.

Donations quickly reached his threshold of $3,000 and have continued. As of mid-afternoon Thursday, Wall had attracted almost $15,000 in donations.

Wall also engaged in a challenge with P.E.I. Premier Robert Ghiz. At one point, Wall was well ahead of his counterpart in the fundraising department but lagged in moustache growth.

After four weeks of tending to his facial hair, Wall had transformed his growth from a wispy promise to a respectable 'stache.

One of the key messages of Movember is the promotion of testing which helps in the early detection of prostate cancer.
