Braided Flower Hairstyles Take Over Instagram
There's no shortage of viral hair trends on Instagram these days, and the looks certainly run the gamut. Last month, beauty lovers took notice of fruit juice hair, which was different from (and yet kiiiiind of similar to) peanut butter and jelly hair. We've seen shadow roots, braids with seven strands, and hair color the exact shade of your favorite LaCroix flavor. The list, it goes on and on. But get ready, because yet another trend has taken Insta by storm — and this one is perfect for spring.
As pointed out by Elite Daily, Connecticut-based hairstylist Alison Valsamis has taken updo hairstyles to a whole new level with braided flowers. A quick scroll through her Instagram will yield just a handful of her breathtaking creations, including a cotton-candy pink "garden trellis," a silver and melon floral braid, and a gorgeous fishtail braid accompanied by bloomin' buds. Luckily, Valsamis has included a rosebud braid tutorial on her Instagram as well, although it still seems pretty complicated to me.
In addition to her flowery creations, Valsamis's Insta feed is full of other impressive braids. This "zipper" style has me doing a total double-take, and I'm pretty much drooling over this Elsa-inspired 'do. Honestly, do yourself a favor and follow this hair queen on Insta before festival season is over...you definitely won't be sorry.
