On Oct. 11, Gilbert and his wife Amber Cochran Gilbert welcomed their third baby, son Abram Howell Gilbert, on their tour bus while Gilbert was mid-show at Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi, during his Off the Rails Tour.

"[Amber] was a soldier - such an understatement," Gilbert shared. "I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. She was just so strong." On the other hand, "I was such an emotional wreck — it was ridiculous. She handled it a million times better than I did," he admitted.

The dad of three then recalled the night Abram was born in full detail, sharing, “We were four songs into the set, and my tour manager comes up and pulls on my arm. The first thing that came to mind is, 'It’s a security threat.' "

Gilbert continued, “The minute I walked on the bus, I washed my hands really quick, and the minute I knelt beside her, her water broke. I looked at the midwife, and she looked back at me, and I was just wide-eyed. She’s like, ‘We’re having a baby.' "

The country star initially revealed that the couple welcomed baby No. 3 in an Instagram video featuring the conversation between himself and his mother as he told her the news.

He wrote in the caption, "We will never forget the way you got here and we can’t wait to see what you do here. Abram Howell Gilbert 10.11.24"
