Breaking Down that "Riverdale" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" S3 Crossover
Fans of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale have always known that the two shows exist in the same universe, which is why they’ve been eagerly awaiting a major Riverdale x CAOS crossover since the second series premiered on Netflix. Of course, the shows have hinted at each other over the years, but season three brought a brand new crossover that brought the two towns of Greendale and Riverdale closer together than ever before.
*Major spoilers for season 3 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina below!*
While searching for Herod's crown in episode 5 of part three, Sabrina enlists Ambrose's help in trying to locate the first piece of the Unholy Regalia. Thank's to Ambrose's research, he was able to locate the crown and find out that while official accounts believe that the crown was taken by archeologists in 1962, the crown was actually taken by a warlock in 1838. It turns out the crown has been taken by several others including Private Benjamin Blossom (sound familiar?) who found it in Hitler's bunker in 1945.
Of course, he wouldn't be a real Blossom if he didn't try to put the crown somewhere where others couldn't find it. Thanks to Ambrose's compass, which is able to find occult items, the two were able to find the crown in a tree in the Riverdale woods.
But Chilling Adventures of Sabrina decided to take it one step further and give us ANOTHER Riverdale crossover. In episode 6, the customer that walks into Dr. Cerberus' Book Store is actually a member of the Southside Serpents. While it looks like we haven't seen him in Riverdale before, there's always a possibility that this opens up for a possible bigger crossover where the gang comes over to figure out what happened to their missing member.
