“Bridgerton”'s Nicola Coughlan Wears 22-Karat Golden Corset Featuring Fun Homage to Her Character at London Premiere
The custom design is a nod to her upcoming love story on season 3 of the Netflix drama
Nicola Coughlan is looking like modern royalty!
The Bridgerton actress, 37, stunned in a 22k gold-plated corset for a season 3 press event in London on Thursday, April 11.

Her custom two-piece corset was handmade by designer Suhani Parekh at MISHO’s studio in Mumbai and took one month to create.
The strapless and super sculpted top half was met at her waist with a textured bottom piece that added enhanced curves. For contrast, Coughlan also wore off-the-shoulder black sleeves.
Underneath her elaborate gold-plated skirt was a longer black one, tailored to hit just below her knees.
Coughlan wore black satin heels from GEDEBE and elevated her look with MISHO’s The Alchemist’s Amphora Necklace.
The $213 accessory is “handcrafted in bronze, plated in 22k Gold,” and “is inspired by the undulating form of a water vessel, an elevated representation of how distant constellations and the cosmos can find form in sculpture," per a press release shared with PEOPLE.
Also found on her custom corset is a special detail, courtesy of Parekh — an anatomical heart, which pays homage to Coughlan’s character, Penelope Featherington’s love story in the upcoming season of the Netflix hit series.

Her upcoming love scenes are so iconic (and steamy) that during an interview earlier this year, the actress joked that requesting for them to be toned down could result in a loss of screen time.
“I’ve requested a PG version for my mammy, because I am not doing that,” the actress told Ireland's Today FM in February. “No way, no, no, no, no, no.”
Coughlan and costar Luke Newton, who portrays Colin Bridgerton on the show, are the leads for the latest installment.
Newton, 31, found her concerns relatable, adding that he doesn’t think he can watch the second episode with his mother.
He joked that the version their parents will get to see is “gonna be about five minutes long.”
“Even in season 1, I skipped bits with my mum. She was like, ‘That episode was short.’ and I was like, ‘It was a short one, yeah,’ ” Coughlan added in the interview.
Season 3 of the historical drama is due out in two parts beginning in May.
Ahead of the upcoming season, the show's executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Chris Van Dusen teased that season 3 could get a little "creative."

"It was always my goal to focus on a different Bridgerton sibling every season and it's no secret there are eight Bridgerton siblings," Van Dusen told Entertainment Tonight in 2022. "We will be on as long as Netflix will have us, but I would love to focus on every single one of those eight Bridgerton siblings and tell romance stories for all of them."
It was also previously announced in April 2021 that the Netflix series would be returning for a fourth season as well.
