·1 min read

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Brighton council asks Brightonians to carry on with attending the meetings virtually.

Council decided at a recent meeting it will keep its meetings in council chambers closed to community members in consideration of the current COVID-19 public health orders and in the interest of public safety.

Residents can view the virtual meetings of council, planning and committees through the portal on the municipal website,, which connects to Brighton’s YouTube channel.

Agendas and minutes for council and planning meetings, held most Mondays at 6:30 p.m., are maintained by the municipal clerk and available on Brighton’s website.

Residents can participate remotely in the meetings through delegations or citizen comments by registering in advance.

E-mail the clerk’s office via or for more information.
