Brockton mayor thanks Anne Eadie for support

BROCKTON – Mayor Chris Peabody commented on the recent resignation of Kincardine Mayor Anne Eadie, saying that he “appreciated her contribution and support” at Bruce County council over the situation with long-term care.

Peabody added that he was “very upset at how it (the resignation) happened, and said, “I will miss her very much at the county council table.”

Eadie served Huron-Kinloss and then Kincardine for 16-plus years, at the municipal and county level, and was a key member of many boards and committees.

In Brockton, the main issues remain the anxiety on the main street about the COVID-19 lockdown. However, Peabody expressed optimism about what will happen “when we get past April.”

Topping this week’s council agenda is the planning review, an initiative aimed at “making things more friendly for developers,” said Peabody. It focuses on improved communication and updating the municipality’s website.
