New Brunswick reports eight new cases of COVID-19

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting eight new cases of COVID-19 today following a rise in infections over the weekend.

Health officials say six of the new cases were identified in the Moncton region and involve one person under the age of 19 and five people between 20 and 50 years old.

The other two cases were reported in the Fredericton region and involve two people in their 20s.

Officials say all eight individuals are isolating. 

New Brunswick says there are 28 active infections in the province and one person is hospitalized with COVID-19. 

The new cases come after officials reported nine infections over the weekend across the Monton, Saint John and Fredericton areas.
