New Brunswick weather: Cloudy with showers or thundershowers

It will cloud over across most of the New Brunswick Thursday morning with showers developing Thursday afternoon and a chance of thunder showers, according to CBC meteorologist Peter Coade.

In the Fredericton area, Coade says it will be sunny for most of Thursday morning before the clouds move in.

As much as 10 mm of rain will fall Thursday or more in the heaviest thundershowers, he says.

The wind will be from the southwest gusting to 40 or 50 km/h.

High temperatures will range from 14 C on parts of the coast to 28 C inland.

There will be further rainfall of up to 15 mm in southern parts of New Brunswick Thursday night.

Showers will end after midnight in northern New Brunswick, followed by clearing.

Overnight temperatures will drop to between 6 C and 14 C.

Friday is expected to be mainly sunny across the province with a high of about 22 C, Coade says.

"Another trough of low pressure will develop and bring showers or periods of rain to the area late on Saturday that will persist into Sunday," says Coade.
