New Brunswick weather: Mainly sunny and cold on Friday

New Brunswick will be mainly sunny and cold on Friday, with a chance of flurries developing late this evening in the southwest, according to CBC meteorologist Peter Coade.

It will be a chilly start to the day with temperatures across the province hovering near –20 C. As of 5 a.m., it was –34 C in Edmundston.

The temperatures will warm up later in the day across the province with highs around –8 C, which will feel like it is –15 with the wind.

Coade says it will cloud over late on Friday evening in the southwest with a chance of flurries developing.

Elsewhere in the province it will be mainly clear on Friday night. It will clouding over before morning in the north.

The low temperatures will range from –10 C to –14 C.

Saturday will see a mix of sun and cloud in the south, says Coade.

It will be mostly cloudy Saturday in the north with a chance of afternoon flurries. The temperatures will reach about –6 C.
