New Brunswick weather: Periods of rain and snow today

Periods of rain mixed with snow will fall in southern New Brunswick this morning, tapering to showers and flurries by this afternoon, according to CBC meteorologist Peter Coade.

No accumulation of snow is expected, says Coade, and the rainfall will only be about two millimetres. There will be some morning fog patches, however.

This afternoon in the south, there is a chance of showers or flurries with wind coming from the north. The high temperatures will range from 2 to 4 C on the Fundy coast and in the southeast, to between 4 and 6 C in the Fredericton area.

In northern New Brunswick there is a chance of morning flurries or showers. It will remain mainly cloudy through the day. The temperature will reach a high of about 2 C.

Tonight in the south there is a chance of showers in the evening and flurries overnight. The wind will be north to northeast and the lows will range from -4 to -6 C.

In northern New Brunswick skies will be mainly clear tonight. The wind will become northwest and lows will range from -10 to -12 C.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy in the south with a chance of flurries. Northern New Brunswick will have a mainly sunny Saturday. High temperatures will range from 2 to -4 C.
