New Brunswick weather: scattered showers today

On Tuesday, flurries will end in the morning, but scattered showers are expected in the south, flurries in the north. Up to five millimetres of rain is expected, with high of 6 C. Winds becoming west to northwest will be gusting 20 to 40 kilometres per hour.

Overnight it will clear up, but temperatures will drop to -14C in the north -8C in the south.

Wednesday is expected to be mainly sunny and cold with highs between 0C and -5C.

CBC meterologist Peter Coade said it looks like a nice week ahead, but a wet weekend.

"The Maritime Provinces are in for a bit of a treat with sunny days but cooler than normal temperatures until Friday arrives with some showers and much milder temperatures and at this time it looks like rain to get the weekend started," he said.
