New Brunswick weather: Temperatures will warm up today

Temperatures will start to climb on Thursday, says CBC meteorologist Peter Coade, as a trough of wet weather is pushed into New Brunswick by a southwest wind.

"Afternoon temperatures today will be up from the past few days and actually exceed the normal for this time of the year by a degree or two," Coade said.

He expects wet weather in the form of showers will arrive in northern New Brunswick early Friday morning with temperatures reaching 12 C, which is well above the normal high of 1 C, by Friday afternoon.

"This feature will then continue south from there through the day on Friday to reach Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island by daybreak on Saturday," said Coade.

"Now I must mention though that temperatures will fall overnight Friday night in northern New Brunswick so there is the chance that communities there could see the showers change to flurries early Saturday before clearing."

Coade says skies should clear on Sunday with colder temperatures expected to return, brining the last weekend of November to a cool but sunny end.
